Information Governance

Information is a vital asset, both in terms of the management of care for service users and good management of services and resources.

It is therefore of extreme importance that appropriate policies, procedures and governance provide a robust framework to ensure fair and lawful use of Brighton and Hove City Council's information.

As a part of your employment with Brighton & Hove City Council all staff are required to complete Information Governance (IG) training upon induction and be aware and understand all our Information Governance policies. All our IG policies are available on the Wave. Your line manager will be able to direct you to the policies that are most relevant for your area of work.
